The Lodge
Welcome to The Cottages on Petite Lake! We're thrilled to host you. Our family works hard to maintain this quirky and fun lakefront resort. We hope you love it as much as we do!
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Directions + Parking
25621 W Hermann Avenue, Antioch, IL 60002
Look for this gazebo at the end of our driveway. Sometimes the GPS takes you one property too far. You should not be in front of a red house at a dead end.
Turn right up the driveway and go to the top of the hill.

You can park anywhere in front of this bright pink house in the gravel parking lot. Please do not block other cars or entrances.

THIS HOUSE IS NOT THE LODGE!
If this area is full, please park on an angle along the fence line. Parking can be limited, so please don't leave too much space between cars. Thank you!
Finding The Lodge
Follow the sidewalk around the pink house until you see a the big set of stairs leading down to the lake.
The Lodge is below the rooftop deck.
Take the stairs down and the door is on your left. It's a white door with a keypad on it. Hosts will give you the door code upon arrival or in a message for self check in.
*When typing in the code, make sure you hear the "beep" after each button. If it did not beep for the first number, start again.
Important things to note
Overhead lights: there is a light switch behind the tree when you walk in. They are labeled. Follow the labels and they will turn on/off appropriately. There is another light switch by the sliding glass door that is also labeled. Please note the switch labeled "keep off". These switches control the same lights and can cause confusion.

Sound bar: there is a soundbar by the TV. It can be used to connect to a phone via bluetooth.
Keurig: when using the single-serve Keurig side of the coffee pot, we recommend using the coffee cup you will be drinking from to measure the amount of water that goes into the water reservoir. If you fill more than one mug’s worth of water, it will overflow.

Sleeper sofa in the primary bedroom: there is a sleeper sofa in the master bedroom that has linens inside of it. The "L" part lifts up.
Rollaway beds: there are three rollaway beds in the lodge that have bedding and pillows with them. Feel free to move them as needed.
Thermostat: there is a thermostat mounted on the wall next to the bookshelf. Tap the center one time to see the screen. Feel free to adjust as needed. Please note that the bedrooms get pretty warm at night.
Quiet hours: quiet hours begin at 10pm. Please be respectful of our neighbors and other guests.
Outside lights: all string lights are on automatic timers.
Garbage: all trash can be taken to the large cans outside. Please do not leave food or crumbs out to help us deter ants and critters.
Children: children should be supervised by an adult at all times, especially while swimming in the lake and/or hot tub. Children shouldn’t be left alone in the cottage, the parking lot, the beach, the rooftop, or any other areas of the resort.
Firewood: want to have a bonfire? You can use your own wood or buy from us. Our large bundles are $10/ each and include fire starter logs. There is a fire pit on the beach for lodge guests to use.
Boat rental: interested in a boat rental and haven’t reserved it yet? Reach out to us for availability and more information.
The beach: during the summer season, the kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, floats, and toys are all free. Please help us keep our toys free and readily available by putting them away after use. When our toys are abused or left out to float away, there may be an additional charge.
